GUELPH (Ontario), December 3, 2019 – Daryll O’Keefe, Regional Vice President for Fix Network Ontario & Manitoba, is pleased to welcome Tom and Sharon Hammond as the new owners of Speedy Auto Service Guelph. Tom has been in the industry as a mechanic for over 14 years and is proud to now own such a longstanding, local business. “I actually worked for Speedy Auto Service from 1993-1999 so I am very familiar with the value of the Speedy brand and the team here in Guelph,” said Tom. That history with Speedy and an appreciation for the brand’s values and support system is what enticed the Hammonds to purchase this location.

Speedy Auto Service Guelph opened its doors back on May 1^st, 1974 meaning 2019 marks their 45^th year in operation. That is an impressive milestone for any business and one that was recognized at the Fix Network Annual Regional Meeting held in September. “Even though we are new owners, it’s still great that the business itself has been recognized for diligently serving the drivers of Guelph for so many years,” commented Hammond.

The team at Speedy Guelph continue to be focused on exemplary customer service, competitive pricing and high quality repair and maintenance work. The staff works hard to ensure each customer leaves the shop completely satisfied with the work done to their vehicle. They regularly go above and beyond for their customers, even picking up their tires that won’t fit in their vehicle for a tire change-over appointment. When the Hammonds took over ownership of Speedy Guelph they completely renovated the office and washrooms and added a new coffee station, all to give customers a warm welcome as they walk through the door. A new alignment hoist was installed and complete re-organization of the shop was done all to improve shop efficiency.

Hammond notes, “We are very excited to continue to build on the 45 year legacy of Speedy Auto Service here in Guelph. We’ve wanted to own our own business for years and we have definitely found the right fit with Speedy.”
