History of Speedy

Speedy Muffler King opened its first store in 1956 and was one of the first muffler replacement specialists in North America.

Speedy Muffler King understood the importance of building strong customer relationships. Industry leading performance standards and top-tier customer service transformed Speedy Muffler King into a trusted, well-known brand.

In 1993, Speedy Muffler King transitioned into a full service provider, and changed its name to Speedy Auto Service.

In 2004, Speedy Auto Service began the process of transitioning corporate-owned stores into a nationwide franchise network.

In 2007, Prime Car Care acquired Speedy Auto Service. With the support of new ownership, Speedy Auto Service will continue the process of converting from a company-owned store system to a franchisee network of service professionals. This transition began in 2004.

Speedy Auto Service locations specialize in offering the very best while-you-wait servicefor all makes and models of cars, light trucks and SUV’s. Although muffler replacement is still a primary service, Speedy also specializes in brake, shock absorbers, struts and suspension repairs, tires, road safety inspections and vehicle maintenance services.
